Indigenous Languages Action Forum is pleased to learn about the new Unisa Multilingual Proverbs Dictionary. ILAF enjoys posting indigenous language proverbs on social media as there is much to learn from proverbs in indigenous languages.
Unisa’s Multilingual Proverbs Dictionary was launched on the 24th of March 2023. Unisa called the dictionary one of a kind as it uses a quadridirectional approach to the presentation of proverbs. Its aim is to promote multilingual approach to the teaching and learning of proverbs.
The multilingual proverbs dictionary is available in English, Xitsonga, Sepedi and Tshivenda.
